New Poster for My Week With Marilyn

I’m bummed to see that My Week With Marilyn isn’t opening until November 23rd now (that is gonna be one booked weekend for me), but I do love this new poster.

New Poster For Eastwood’s “J. Edgar”

Somehow I missed this poster over the weekend, but boy do I love it. I saw this trailer in theaters a few times over the last week and I just cannot wait to see the film for myself.

The film is due out in theaters on November 9th (limited) and November 11th (worldwide).

Poster for Spielberg’s “War Horse”

I’ve been excited for this film since the first trailer was released in June. Oh, who am I kidding, I’ve been excited for this movie since I read about it over a year ago. Spielberg, check. Horses, check. (for the record, I like horses, they don’t like me). WWI, check. Awesome cinematography, check.

I simply cannot wait for the end of December. War Horse is due in US theaters on December 28, 2011 and The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn (also directed by Spielberg) is due out in US theaters on December 23, 2011.

Trailer and Poster for Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

This looks…interesting. I love Fincher so I’ll put aside my dislike of Daniel Craig and see this in theaters for sure.

German Poster For Malick’s “The Tree of Life”

This poster seems to emphasize the domestic aspects of Terrence Malick’s newest films that promises to span millennia, including the origins of life – an dinosaurs! – as well as a look at the life of a boy’s relationship with his father. Brad Pitt is the father in the 1950s (or so) and Sean Penn plays the grown up version of the son. I absolutely love everything that Malick has ever done and am more than excited for this film.

The film is set to premiere on May 16, 2011 at the Cannes Film Festival before opening wide on May 27, 2011 in the United States.

French Poster for Terrence Malick’s “The Tree of Life”

All of the posters so far for this film have been gorgeous. I cannot even wait for this to open.

New Poster For Terrence Malick’s “The Tree of Life”

Today is a good day for new media on films I cannot wait to see. This poster for Malick’s The Tree of Life is absolutely to die for.

New Poster For Woody Allen’s ‘Midnight In Paris’

Love, love, love this poster. I have such high hopes for this movie (despite my lukewarm feelings for most of Allen’s recent filmography). Midnight in Paris is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 11, 2011  before opening in the United States on May 20, 2011.

Posters For “Meek’s Cutoff,” “The Conspirator”

These are both films I first heard about during the Toronto International Film Festival last fall (not that I was there, but buzz surfaced on the internet). I really cannot wait to see either. Both films are set to open on April 15th.

Teaser Poster For Pedro Almodóvar’s “La Piel que Habito”

The Skin That I Inhabit is a revenge picture based on crime novelist Theirry Jonque‘s 2005 book, “Tarantula,” about a plastic surgeon’s revenge on the man who raped his daughter. But really, that’s just scratching the surface. You can read the full synopsis of the book here, but in short, this is a film that has a loathsome protagonist who, while seeking justice for his daughter, keeps his wife imprisoned and subjects her to humiliating sexual acts with strangers.

The film stars Antonio Banderas, Elena Anaya, Marisa Paredes, Jan Cornet, Roberto Alamo, Blanca Suárez, Eduard Fernández, José Luis Gómez, Bárbara Lennie, Susi Sánchez, Fernando Cayo and Teresa Manresa. Longtime collaborators such as composer Alberto Iglesias, DoP Jose Luis Alcaine and editor José Salcedo are once again in the mix. Check out the artwork below.

[summary from IndieWire]

I am intrigued for sure. I love Almodóvar and I love Antonio. I still need to see some of their earlier collaborations, but regardless it’s nice to see them working together. The film is being released Sony Pictures Classics and I believe it is set to premiere at the 64th Cannes Film Festival before a September worldwide release.
