		<description><![CDATA[I wonder why Hitchcock didn&#039;t continue to work with Cotton after &#039;Under Capricorn&#039;; his performance in &#039;Shadow of a Doubt&#039; really helps anchor that film. What if Cotton had been cast, for example, in one of Jimmy Stewart&#039;s roles in &#039;The Man Who Knew Too Much&#039; or &#039;Rear Window&#039;? 

I have to admit, one of my favorite Cotton appearances in in Orson Welles&#039; &#039;Touch of Evil,&#039; as the mustached fellow laconically commenting on what&#039;s left of a man caught in an explosion. You almost don&#039;t recognize him at first -- and then that Voice grabs you...]]></description>
