“Winter’s Bone” Named Best Film By San Diego Film Critics
This is the first critic group to name Winter’s Bone best film over The Social Network. They also named Jennifer Lawrence Best Actress and John Hawkes Best Supporting Actor. Also Colin Farrell was named Best Actor for Ondine, one of my favorite films of the year.

Precursors Chart Updated (Yet Again)
I’ve added three more critics groups since yesterday’s update. The Social Network/David Fincher/Aaron Sorkin continue to dominate. Several more critics groups are announcing their winners this week. Also if you missed it, the Golden Globe nominations came out today. The Screen Actors Guild will be announcing their nominees on Thursday.

With the influx of critics groups announcing their winners over the weekend, it’s time again to update the precursor chart. It looks like so far frontrunners include The Social Network (7 wins, plus on AFI’s Top Ten of 2010), David Fincher for Best Director(6 wins), Aaron Sorkin for Best (Adapted) Screenplay (6 wins) and Toy Story 3 for Best Animated Film (6 wins)
