A Year With Women: January 2015 in Films
So January was officially my first month in A Year With Women and boy was it a great start to the year! For the first time in the longest time I pretty much loved everything I watched. I got to a bunch of films I had been meaning to watch for ages and saw some things I probably would never has sought out ordinarily. You can watch my video reviews of everything I watched in January here on YouTube. As always, after the cut is a full list of what I watched in January and a little bit on my five favorite films from the month.
Movie Quote of the Day – Away from Her, 2006 (dir. Sarah Polley)
Fiona: The thing is, half the time I wander around looking for something which I know is very pertinent. But then, I can’t remember what it is. . .once the idea is gone, everything is gone and I have to wander around trying to figure out what it was that was so important earlier. I think I may be beginning to disappear.
Movie Quote of the Day – Real Genius, 1985 (dir. Martha Coolidge)
Chris: You are very beautiful.
Sherry: Thank you.
Chris: Uh, how did I come off? Too stuffy?
Sherry: Well, you certainly don’t act like one of the top ten minds in America.
Chris: Really? How many of them have you met?
Sherry: Seven.
Chris: Really?
Sherry: You’ll be eight. Professor Hostetler at M.I.T. was number six.
Chris: Old Professor Hostetler? Isn’t he dead?
Sherry: He is now.
