First Trailer For Woody Allen’s “To Rome With Love”
I’m not sure how I feel about the name change (I really liked the title Nero Fiddled), but I am so excited for this film. Trailer after the cut.
Second Trailer for ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’
This trailer uses some of the same imagery from the first trailer, but has the added bonus of some shots of Rachel McAdams reprising her role as Irene Adler. and more banter between Holmes/Watson. Cannot wait for this film.
The film is due out in theaters on December 16th. You can watch the new trailer here.
New Trailer For Steve McQueen’s “Shame”
This looks fantastic. I’m already really digging the mood and Fassbender and Mulligan seem to be firing on all cylinders.
You can watch the trailer here. Shame is set to open in the US on December 2nd.
New Trailer for “My Week With Marilyn”
This is one of my most anticipated films of the year. The cast looks divine, anchored by what looks to be another fabulous turn by Michelle Williams as the world’s most famous blonde. I have been a huge Marilyn Monroe fan for about ten years now. I think she is one of the most under-appreciated actresses and misunderstood people of the twentieth century. I hope this film does her justice.
You can watch the trailer here at Yahoo! movies. The film is set to have its world premiere at the New York Film Festival on October 9th and will open in theaters on November 4th in the United States and November 18th in the UK.
New Trailer For Clint Eastwood’s “J. Edgar”
Words cannot express how much I cannot wait for this movie. This new trailer (watch it here at Apple trailers) makes me want to watch it even more. I pretty much love everything I’ve seen out of Leonardo DiCaprio for the last ten years and Armie Hammer looks to be following up his breakthrough turn in The Social Network last year with another show stopping performance.
The film is set for a November 9th release.
New Trailer For Cameron Crowe’s “We Bought A Zoo”
This trailer depresses me. I love Cameron Crowe. I love Matt Damon. I love Sigur Ros. But this trailer depresses me.
It looks like a rehash of every other Cameron Crowe movie, instead of something new. It’s got a scene eeriely similar to when Jerry Maguire quits his job, only this time with Damon instead of Crowe. Even the scene in the photo I posted looks like it was ripped out of Vanilla Sky. I hated Elizabethtown and this trailer is not making me want to give Crowe another chance despite how much I love his earlier work…
Trailer For “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”
This looks FANTASTIC. Just look at this cast: Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, Mark Strong, Ciarán Hinds, Benedict Cumberbatch, Stephen Graham, Toby Jones and John Hurt. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is based on the 1974 British spy novel of the same name by John le Carré. The film was directed by Tomas Alfredson (Let the Right One In) and is due in American theaters on November 18th, 2011. You can see the trailer here.
Trailer For Spielberg’s “War Horse”
I love Steven Spielberg and I love war movies, so I am excited for this film. Even if I don’t particularly love horses. Janusz Kamiński’s cinematography looks as lush and gorgeous as ever. I am also betting on a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Niels Arestrup. You can quote me on that come Oscar time. War Horse is due in US theaters on December 28, 2011. Spielberg also directed The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn, which is due out in US theaters on December 23, 2011. Lots of Spielberg this Christmastime.
You can watch the trailer over at RopeOfSilicon.
Trailer For David Cronenberg’s “A Dangerous Method”
This looks fantastic. A Dangerous Method is definitely one of my most anticipated films for 2011.
You can watch that trailer here. The film is still awaiting a release date.
