Trailer, Poster and Stills for Julian Schnabel’s “Miral”

The film stars Freida Pinto, Willam Dafoe, Hiam Abbass and Vanessa Redgrave. It’s an adaptation of Italo-Palestinian Rula Jebreal’s book about the real-life Palestinian woman Hind Husseini, who started the Dar Al-Tifl orphanage in Jerusalem in the wake of the 1948 partition of Palestine and the creation of the state of Israel. The story will span the years 1948-94. It’s being released  by The Weinstein Co. on December 3.

Trailer for Woody Allen’s “You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger”

This looks promising. I haven’t really liked most of what I’ve seen of Allen’s later oeuvre of movies. This looks like it could be more like is films from the 80s and 90s – my favorite period in Allen’s career. Regardless, the cast looks amazing, so at least there’s that.

You can see the trailer here at Yahoo! movies. This film is rated R for language and releases September 22, 2010.

Trailer For Ben Affleck-Helmed “The Town”

I really love his directorial debut, 2007’s Gone Baby Gone, and this looks to be equally as good. It’s got an amazing ensemble cast including Affleck,  Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall, Blake Lively, Pete Postlethwaite, Jeremy Renner and Chris Cooper.

You can see the trailer here over at Apple. The film hits theaters on September 17th, 2010.

“Howl” Poster/Trailer

Loving everything about this film so far. Howl is such a fabulous poem and Franco looks really great as Ginsberg.

You can see the trailer here at the A.V. Club. It has a very I’m Not There kind of vibe to it. The film is set to open on September 24th, 2010.

First Full Trailer for “The Social Network”

It looks SO GOOD. I cannot wait for this film. You can see the trailer here at Yahoo! Movies.

Secretariat Trailer

I wasn’t too excited for this film until I saw the trailer this weekend when I saw Toy Story 3 (my thoughts on that film will come soon, I swear). After seeing the trailer, though, October 8th cannot come soon enough.

Teaser Trailer for David Fincher’s “The Social Network”

It’s here! I so do not want to wait until October for this movie!

This trailer doesn’t show much of the film, but it surely does make me want more!

Trailer for “Red”

This film looks like it’ll be a lot of fun. It’s based on the comic book series of the same name by Warren Ellis and helmed by German director Robert Schwentke. The cast list reads like a dream: Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, John Malkovich, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, Karl Urban, Brian Cox, Julian McMahon, Richard Dreyfuss and Ernest Borgnine. I love that Borgnine is still making films! And Helen Mirren wielding a machine gun? Priceless.

Tony Goldwyn’s “Conviction” Trailer

This film was originally titled “Betty Anne Waters” but I guess Fox Searchlight decided to steer away from the “a person’s name” film title route. Hilary Swank is hit or miss, but when she’s good she’s really good (hence the two Oscars). Sam Rockwell is one of the most under-rated actors working in Hollywood today. I still think he should have gotten an Oscar nom for Moon last year. Maybe this will be his golden ticket.

“Somewhere”, “Never Let Me Go” trailers

Rewatching the trailer for The American reminded me that in the last two days trailers have gone online for two other films I’m looking forward to this year: Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere and Mark Romanek’s Never Let Me Go.
